MBC Promotions scored another coup this month by blending an award-winning healthy product with the sure-fire intensity and excitement of one of the most popular videogames!
Konami’s PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER™ 2008, already the hottest videogame in the market with its revolutionary tricks and graphics, partnered with ROBEKS, the company that values healthy meals, with their premium, made-to-order fruit smoothies and healthy snacks.
From March 10 to April 18, MBC executed multi-tiered promotions to showcase the strength of the videogame and the health food company with aggressive outreach to television, radio, retail point of sale and sweepstakes.
What is unique about this partnership are the markets that were targeted for the television and radio media buy. The television and radio media were targeted near and around Robeks’ locations, including those specifically requested by the company. The 15 market National Television Promotion targeted the Top 45 markets, with an estimated value of $180,000 and a staggering 1,700 spots. Within the 15 market Radio Promotion, twelve of the markets secured were in the top 15 markets in DMA ranking. The Radio Promotion garnered an overall 358 spots which created an estimated value of $251,000.
The promotion took an even more amazing leap in the Robeks Juice retail POS arena. Crew buttons were given to the Robeks crewmembers, static clings were hung on the location sites, while community board posters were pinned to announcement bulletin boards. Customers were even given the chance to watch the :15 and: 30 second television spots in rotation, at Robeks Juice locations. Last, over 300,000 lid toppers with $1.00 off coupons for consumers’ next Robeks purchases, scored highly on the customers’ product awareness level during this promotion period.
The promotion sweepstakes, running through April 18th, is entitled “Get Your Game On!” This sweepstakes component proves to be just that- customers are literally “game” to participate in the highly visible Robeks website (www.robeks.com) sweepstakes. The Robeks site features not only the Sweepstakes, but a hyperlink to the Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 game website as well. By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants will have a chance to win one of five Grand Prize Packages consisting of an Xbox 360 ® Game console. One-hundred First Prize winners will be awarded a PES 2008 T Shirt, while twenty-five Second Prize winners will each round up a $10 value Robeks VIP Free Smoothie card.
